Job Summary

This position is responsible for supervision of self-administered medication to Assisted Living residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Lifestyle Corporation. This position reports to the Assisted Living Director and/or the Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.

Essential Functions:

  1. Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines as directed by the LPN/LVN/RN and/or the Assisted Living Director/Health and Wellness Director.

  2. Report any change in residentís health and provides proper documentation to the LPN/LVN and/or Assisted Living Director/Health and Wellness Director.

  3. Respond quickly to all emergencies.

  4. Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.

  5. Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by supervisor.

  6. Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.

  7. Maintain confidentiality of residentsí and prospective residentsí information.

  8. Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.

  9. Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

  10. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers.

  11. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.

  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

Level of Formal Education:

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Area of Study: General

Years of Experience: at least 1 month

Type of Experience: In a skilled, sub-acute, or memory care setting

Special Certifications: May require state specific training or certification

Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills

Skills and Ability:

  1. Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.

  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
