Job Summary

Seeking an individual who has boundless energy, is a big picture thinker and is passionate about substance use prevention to implement grant projects funded within the coalition. Seeking an individual with organizational leadership to reduce substance use for youth of Irondequoit and neighboring communities.

Job Description


Position to Include:

  1. Grant oversight and implementation;

  2. Capacity building;

  3. Volunteer management;

  4. Community relations;

  5. Publicity;

  6. Program evaluation and oversight of strategic planning and logic model development in accordance with CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) guidelines.

All work is done in a collaborative basis with multiple community partners, board members, staff and volunteers which would be led by the Program Director. Committees are all volunteer and where necessary the Program Director would fill in until a volunteer lead is identified.  

Financial and Fiduciary Responsibilities Include:

  1. Responsibility for payroll management;

  2. Grant budgeting;

  3. Financial management of all grant funds working in collaboration with board members.

Must be willing to work remotely during pandemic mandates and available to work in office as necessary to complete the work and meet with community members. 


  1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of experience in public health or related field such as health education, prevention work, or administration, policy planning or in community/organizational psychology with an emphasis on prevention work.

  2. Excellent organizational skills, strategic planning and written and oral communication skills.

  3. Proven record of community organizational skills

  4. Knowledge, skills and previous experience with social media and search engine optimization for business.

  5. Demonstrated transparent and high integrity leadership

  6. Strong program development, community organization and group facilitation

  7. Demonstrated experience with volunteer/ staff supervision and oversight

  8. Experience in data collection and project evaluation

  9. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs for multiple community event set ups and breakdowns.

  10. Must provide own transportation

  11. Must be able to work typical Monday-Friday work day hours with occasional weekend and evening events.

  12. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and general computer skills


This is a full-time position with flexibility of hours as needed.  

May include some weekend hours for events which is roughly 10% of the position. 

Base salary: $45,000 plus medical benefits
